The AirTAC GFR600-25 AirTAC Filter Regulator G1, 5 um, Auto Drain is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1" ports, a automatic drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR600-25 is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This size 600 unit is fitted with a G1 (1 in) G-thread port, a 5 um filter element (the finer of the two catalogue grades), an automatic drain that ejects collected condensate without manual attention, and an aluminium alloy bowl - the standard bowl material at size 600. The embedded square gauge reads in psi, and a reverse/check valve is fitted to hold downstream pressure. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), the standard regulation range is 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi), and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing). No mounting bracket is included with this configuration.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR filter-regulator family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 in to 1 in, and is configurable by drain type (differential-pressure, automatic or manual), filter grade (40 um standard or 5 um), gauge scale (MPa, psi or bar), thread (PT standard, with G and NPT as order options) and bracket. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we confirm the datasheet and sizing figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR600 | G-series filter regulator, 600 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 25 | Port size PT1". This body offers 20 = PT3/4", 25 = PT1". |
| A | Drain: Automatic drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| F | Gauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square. |
| 2 | Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| G | G (BSPP) thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeding cleaned, pressure-controlled air to the pneumatic cylinders and grippers on a carton-forming and sealing line, with the 5 um element protecting directional valves from particulate carryover.
Regulating supply pressure to conveyor stopper and pusher cylinders on a bottling or canning conveyor, where the automatic drain handles condensate without a daily walk-round.
Providing filtered, regulated air to the tool-clamp and pallet-change circuits of a CNC machining centre, with the check valve holding downstream pressure if the main supply dips.
Size 600 with a 1 in port is the largest step in the GFR range - choose it when your line's air demand sits at the top of the family's flow capacity, and step down to 300 or 400 for smaller circuits. Drain type is a real choice: this unit has an automatic drain, which suits unattended or hard-to-reach installations; manual and differential-pressure drains are available on other configurations. The 5 um element (code W) is the finer grade versus the 40 um standard - pick 5 um where downstream valves and instruments need cleaner air. The square gauge here reads psi; MPa and bar scales are alternatives. Thread: PT is the standard, G (BSPP) and NPT are order options - this unit is specified with G. Bracket: this configuration ships without one (code J).
Flow for this family is published as curves, not a single rated number, so we cannot quote one honestly here. Ask us to confirm the datasheet curves against your required flow before ordering.
Quick checklist
The aluminium-alloy bowl on the GFR600 suits harsher environments than a PC bowl. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR family as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Tell us your required flow and operating pressure and we will confirm the datasheet curves and correct size for your application on request.
The drain is the mechanism that removes condensate collected in the bowl. This configuration has an automatic drain (code A), which ejects condensate by itself - useful where the unit is mounted in an inaccessible spot or on a line that runs unattended. Manual and differential-pressure drains are available on other GFR configurations if you prefer to control drainage yourself.
