The AirTAC GFR600-25 AirTAC Filter Regulator, G1, 5 um, Low-Pressure is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR600-25 is a GFR-series filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This size-600 configuration has a G1 (1 in) port with G (BSPP) thread, a manual drain, a 5 um filter element (the W grade; 40 um is the standard option), the low-pressure regulator type, and a round gauge scaled in psi fitted. Because it is a size-600 unit, the bowl is aluminium alloy. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing), and a mounting bracket is included.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600, with a choice of port, drain type (differential-pressure, automatic or manual), filter grade (40 um standard, 5 um optional), gauge style and scale, and thread (PT standard; G and NPT are catalogue options to order). Flow for this series is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm the datasheet figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR600 | G-series filter regulator, 600 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 25 | Port size PT1". This body offers 20 = PT3/4", 25 = PT1". |
| M | Drain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)). |
| L | Low-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| (blank) | Mounting bracket included. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 2 | Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| G | G (BSPP) thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Point-of-use filter regulator feeding grippers, pushers and clamp cylinders on a bottling or canning line, where the low-pressure regulator type sets a reduced working pressure for the machine circuit.
Supplying clean, regulated air to gate and stop cylinders that divert cartons on a packaging conveyor, with 5 um filtration helping protect valve and cylinder seals from line debris.
Filtered, regulated air to spray guns and air-assisted applicators in a paint or coating booth, where the manual drain lets an operator bleed accumulated water at the start of a shift.
The real, decodable choices on a GFR unit are size and port (200/300/400/600, with larger sizes carrying larger ports and more flow), drain type, filter grade, gauge style and scale, and thread. This GFR600-25 steps up to the largest size with a G1 (1 in) G-thread port, manual drain, 5 um filtration, low-pressure regulation and a round psi gauge. Choose manual drain where someone already attends the compressor or point of use and can bleed the bowl on a routine; choose automatic or differential-pressure drain where the unit sits remotely. Choose 5 um where downstream equipment tolerates less particulate than the 40 um standard. Flow for this series is published as curves, not a single rating, so send us your flow and pressure requirements and we will confirm sizing against the datasheet before you order.
Quick checklist
The aluminium-alloy bowl on the GFR600 suits harsher environments than a PC bowl. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Send us your required flow and working pressure and we will confirm the sizing from the datasheet on request.
The M in the code sets a manual drain: accumulated condensate is released by operating the drain by hand rather than automatically. If you would rather the bowl discharge itself, the GFR series is also offered with automatic or differential-pressure drain in other configurations.
