The AirTAC GFR600-25 AirTAC Filter Regulator G1 Auto Drain, Psi Gauge is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1" ports, a automatic drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR600-25 is a filter regulator: one body that removes water and particulate from compressed air and sets downstream pressure, so a line gets clean air at a stable setting from a single unit. This configuration is the size 600 model with a G1 (1 in) G-thread port, a 40 um standard filter element, an automatic drain that ejects collected condensate without manual attention, and a built-in square gauge reading in psi. A reverse/check valve is fitted, and the large aluminium alloy bowl suits the higher flow of the 600 size. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), the standard regulator adjusts from 0.15 to 0.9 MPa (20-130 psi), and the operating temperature range is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 in to 1 in, and options include a 5 um (W) element, manual or differential-pressure drain, alternative gauge scales (MPa/psi/bar), G or NPT thread, and bracket choice. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm the datasheet and sizing figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR600 | G-series filter regulator, 600 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 25 | Port size PT1". This body offers 20 = PT3/4", 25 = PT1". |
| A | Drain: Automatic drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| F | Gauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square. |
| 2 | Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| G | G (BSPP) thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

At the main 1 in drop feeding a packaging hall, the unit strips condensate and pipe-scale from the header air and holds a set pressure for the downstream distribution loop, with the automatic drain keeping the aluminium bowl clear during shifts.
On the supply line to pneumatic conveyor drives and diverters, the filter section removes water and particulate before it reaches valve seals, while the regulator holds a steady setting so cylinder speeds stay repeatable through the day.
In a heavy-vehicle service bay, the unit conditions shop compressor air feeding impact wrenches, tire cages and lift controls, with the psi gauge giving technicians a direct read of the set line pressure and the check valve holding the circuit if supply dips.
Step up through sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 as your port and flow requirement grow; this 600 unit takes a 1 in port. Choose the drain to match maintenance practice: automatic (this model) drains itself, manual drain is emptied by hand, and the differential-pressure default drains on a pressure drop. The 40 um element is standard; specify W for the 5 um grade where finer filtration is needed. Gauge scale is selectable (this unit reads psi), and thread is PT as standard with G and NPT as order options - this model is G thread. Bracket is not included on this configuration (code J).
Because flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The aluminium-alloy bowl on the GFR600 suits harsher environments than a PC bowl. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Tell us your line pressure, set pressure and the equipment you are feeding, and we will confirm the flow and datasheet figures for the GFR600-25 on request before you order.
The A code on this unit means an automatic drain: collected condensate is ejected from the aluminium bowl without anyone opening it, which suits unattended or high-humidity installations. The alternatives are a manual drain (emptied by hand) and the differential-pressure default (drains on a pressure drop); all three are decodable choices across the GFR family.
