The AirTAC GFR600-25 AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1 with 5 um Filter is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR600-25 is a filter regulator: one body that removes water and particulate from compressed air and then regulates downstream pressure. This size-600 unit is specified with a 1 in NPT port, a 5 um filter element (the finer of the two catalogue grades), a manual drain for emptying the bowl, a round external pressure gauge scaled in MPa, and a reverse/check valve fitted to hold downstream pressure. The maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), the regulation range is 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi), and the operating temperature is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing). At size 600 the bowl is aluminium alloy.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600, with port sizes from 1/8 in to 1 in, PT as the standard thread and G or NPT as order options, a choice of 40 um or 5 um filtration, differential-pressure, automatic or manual drains, gauge scale in MPa, psi or bar, and bracket options. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we confirm the datasheet and flow figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR600 | G-series filter regulator, 600 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 25 | Port size PT1". This body offers 20 = PT3/4", 25 = PT1". |
| M | Drain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 1 | Gauge scale: MPa. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Drops the header pressure to a stable working level for a fabrication line's 1 in main air feed while catching water and pipe scale before it reaches the plant's air tools and cylinders.
Conditions and regulates the air feeding brake-test rigs, tail-lift controls and other pneumatics on commercial vehicles, with the check valve holding set pressure against supply dips.
Sits at the machine's 1 in air inlet to filter the shop supply to 5 um and hold a fixed regulator setting for valve manifolds and actuators, with the MPa gauge giving a clear set-point readout.
Size and port set the capacity: the 600 series with a 1 in port is the largest step in the GFR range, so match it to the line size and the flow your circuit needs. Choose the drain to suit access: manual drain (this unit) needs someone to open it periodically, while automatic and differential-pressure drains discharge condensate without attention. Choose 5 um filtration when downstream equipment needs finer particle removal than the 40 um standard element. The round gauge here is scaled in MPa; psi and bar scales are available as options. NPT thread is an order option - PT is the catalogue standard, and G (BSPP) is also available. Brackets are optional; this configuration is supplied without one.
Because flow is published as curves and not as a single rated number, ask us to confirm sizing against your application and the datasheet before ordering.
Quick checklist
The aluminium-alloy bowl on the GFR600 suits harsher environments than a PC bowl. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a rated flow number. Tell us your application and we will confirm the flow figures from the datasheet on request before you order.
The M in the code selects a manual drain on the bowl: condensate collects until someone opens the drain, so it suits installations where the bowl is easy to reach and service is part of a routine. Where access is difficult, the same series is available with automatic or differential-pressure drains that discharge condensate without attention.
