The AirTAC GFR600-25 AirTAC Filter Regulator PT 1 in, 5 um, psi gauge is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR600-25 is a filter regulator: one body that removes water and particulate from compressed air and then regulates downstream pressure. This size-600 unit is specified with a 1 inch PT port, a manual drain for emptying the bowl, a 5 um filter element for finer filtration than the standard 40 um grade, and a round pressure gauge scaled in psi. A reverse (check) valve is fitted, and the maximum working (inlet) pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi). Operating temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing).
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with a choice of ports, PT, G or NPT threads, manual, automatic or differential-pressure drains, 40 um or 5 um elements, gauge styles and scales, and low-pressure or standard regulator types. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so we confirm flow and datasheet figures on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR600 | G-series filter regulator, 600 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 25 | Port size PT1". This body offers 20 = PT3/4", 25 = PT1". |
| M | Drain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 2 | Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Installed at a 1 in drop from the plant air main to condition the supply feeding a production cell: water and particles are filtered out and the line pressure is set to the level the cell was designed for.
Feeding a CNC machining centre's air-powered clamps, tool-change cylinders and purge lines, where a 5 um element helps protect fine valves and a stable regulated pressure keeps clamping consistent.
Mounted on a process skid supplying pneumatic quarter-turn actuators, with the check valve holding the set pressure against momentary upstream dips and the psi gauge giving operators a local reading.
Size 600 with a 1 inch PT port is the step to choose when the air demand at the machine is larger than a 3/4 in line can carry; match the port step to the flow your application needs and we will confirm sizing against the published curves before you order. This unit has a manual drain, which suits installations where an operator drains the bowl as part of a routine; choose automatic or differential-pressure drain codes if the bowl should empty without attention. The 5 um element (code W) is the finer option versus the standard 40 um grade. The round gauge here reads in psi; embedded square gauges and MPa or bar scales are available. PT is the standard thread and G (BSPP) or NPT are order options; this code carries no mounting bracket.
Quick checklist
The aluminium-alloy bowl on the GFR600 suits harsher environments than a PC bowl. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Tell us your line size, working pressure and air demand and we will confirm the flow from the datasheet and check the sizing against your application before you order.
The M in the code specifies a manual drain: the bowl is emptied by hand as part of a maintenance routine, which suits attended installations. The same GFR600 size can be ordered with an automatic drain (code A) or a differential-pressure drain (blank code) if you prefer the bowl to discharge without operator action.
