The AirTAC GFR60020MF1WT AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT3/4 5 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/4" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR60020MF1WT is a size-600 GFR filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This configuration carries a 3/4 in NPT port, a 5 um filter element (the finer of the two catalogue grades), a manual drain on the bowl, and a fitted square pressure gauge reading in MPa. Because it is the 600 size, the bowl is aluminium alloy. The standard regulator covers 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi) with this manual-drain version, and maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi). Operating temperature is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600, with port options from 1/8 in to 1 in, a choice of 40 um or 5 um filtration, differential-pressure, automatic or manual drains, gauge and scale options, PT as the standard thread with G and NPT as order options, and bracket choices. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us and we will confirm the datasheet figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| 20 | Port size PT3/4". This body offers 20 = PT3/4", 25 = PT1". |
| M | Drain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| (blank) | Mounting bracket included. |

| F | Gauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square. |
| 1 | Gauge scale: MPa. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Installed at the 3/4 in main drop feeding a machine shop's CNC cells, it cleans water and swarf-carrying particulate from the shop air and holds a steady regulated pressure to the machines, with the manual drain emptied during shift checks.
Mounted ahead of the valve manifold on a carton-forming and sealing line, it filters line air down to 5 um and sets the pressure the cylinders and vacuum generators see, protecting seals and keeping cycle behaviour consistent.
Fitted on the supply to a fabrication bay's pneumatic tool circuit, it strips moisture and fine dirt before the tools and lets the bay set one regulated working pressure at the square MPa gauge, drained manually at the end of each shift.
Size and port are the first decision: the 600 size with its 3/4 in port is the largest step in the GFR range, so match it to the pipe bore and the flow your line needs - we can check the published flow curves against your demand before you order. Drain type is a real choice: manual (this unit) needs someone to open the drain, automatic drains by float, and the differential-pressure default bleeds with flow. The 5 um element here is the finer option; 40 um is the standard grade if your downstream equipment tolerates coarser filtration. The square gauge on this unit reads MPa; psi and bar scales are also available, and an external round gauge is optional. Thread is NPT here, ordered as an option - PT is the catalogue standard, and G (BSPP) is the other choice. A bracket is included; J-coded variants omit it.
Quick checklist
The aluminium-alloy bowl on the GFR600 suits harsher environments than a PC bowl. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves, not as a single rated number, so there is no one figure we can honestly quote. Send us your line pressure, downstream demand and allowable pressure drop, and we will confirm the sizing from the datasheet curves on request.
The M in the code sets a manual drain: someone opens the bowl drain to expel collected water. It suits installations that are checked regularly. If the unit sits unattended or passes little air, the automatic (A) or differential-pressure (blank) drain options avoid relying on operator routine - those are separate order codes in the same GFR600 family.
