GFR60025MF3WT AirTAC Filter Regulator 1 in NPT 5 um

The AirTAC GFR60025MF3WT AirTAC Filter Regulator 1 in NPT 5 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.

About the GFR60025MF3WT AirTAC Filter Regulator 1 in NPT 5 um

The AirTAC GFR60025MF3WT is a size-600 GFR filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in one body. This configuration is built around a 1 in NPT port, a 5 um filter element (the finer W grade, versus the standard 40 um), and a manual drain, so condensate is released only when an operator opens the drain. The set pressure is read on the fitted embedded square gauge scaled in bar, and the standard regulator covers an adjustment range of 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi) with this manual-drain version. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the operating temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing).

This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600, with port options, drain types (differential-pressure, automatic or manual), 40 um or 5 um filtration, gauge choices and PT, G or NPT threads. On the size-600 body the bowl is aluminium alloy. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we confirm the datasheet figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Where the GFR60025MF3WT AirTAC Filter Regulator 1 in NPT 5 um Is Used

factory

Automotive paint shop air drops

Point-of-use clean-up and pressure setting on a paint line's 1 in air main, where the 5 um element helps protect spray equipment from water and particulate carryover.

conveyor_belt

Packaging line actuator supply

Filtering and regulating the air feeding conveyor stoppers, pushers and clamp cylinders on a carton-packaging line, with the bar gauge giving operators a local set-point readout.

valve

Pneumatic control valve supply

Conditioning the supply air to large pneumatic control valves on a process skid, holding a stable downstream pressure ahead of positioner-fed instrumentation.

Is the GFR60025MF3WT AirTAC Filter Regulator 1 in NPT 5 um the Right Unit?

Size 600 with a 1 in port sits at the top of the GFR range, so step up to it when your line's flow demand outgrows a 3/4 in unit; because flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering. This unit pairs the 5 um W-grade element with a manual drain: choose manual when an operator is on site to bleed condensate, or ask about automatic and differential-pressure drain versions for unattended duty. The square gauge is scaled in bar; MPa and psi scales and an external round gauge are alternatives. Thread here is NPT - PT is the standard option and G (BSPP) is also available - and a mounting bracket is included.

Installation & Maintenance Notes

  • check Mount vertically, bowl down, following the airflow arrow.
  • check One body does the filtering and the regulating — no separate regulator needed.
  • check Keep inlet pressure at or below 1.0 MPa (145 psi).
  • check Adjust only within 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi).
  • check Drain condensate before the bowl fills.
  • check Keep the unit above freezing (-5 to +70 °C, unfreeze).

The aluminium-alloy bowl on the GFR600 suits harsher environments than a PC bowl. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.

GFR60025MF3WT AirTAC Filter Regulator 1 in NPT 5 um FAQ

AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves, not as a single rated number, so we do not quote a figure here. Tell us your line pressure and air demand and we will confirm the relevant datasheet flow curve for this 1 in size-600 unit on request before you order.

The M in the code selects a manual drain: condensate collected in the aluminium bowl is released only when someone opens the drain, which suits attended installations. It also means the regulator adjustment range is 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi). Automatic and differential-pressure drain versions are available with a 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi) range if you need unattended drainage.
