GR20008LF2G AirTAC Air Pressure Regulator G1/4 Low-Pressure

The AirTAC GR20008LF2G AirTAC Air Pressure Regulator G1/4 Low-Pressure is a genuine G-series air pressure regulator. It holds a stable downstream pressure over the range 0.05 - 0.4 MPa (7 - 58 psi) with PT1/4" ports, and ships with a pressure gauge. A regulator does not filter the air — put a GF filter upstream, or use a GFR filter regulator, when water and particulate must also be removed.

About the GR20008LF2G AirTAC Air Pressure Regulator G1/4 Low-Pressure

The GR20008LF2G is an AirTAC GR-series air pressure regulator: it does one job only, holding a stable downstream air pressure from your compressed-air supply. This is the low-pressure type (code L), set up for circuits that must run at reduced pressure, with a regulation range of up to 0.4 MPa. It is a 200-size unit with a G1/4 (1/4 in) BSPP port, G thread, and it carries a square pressure gauge reading in psi so the setpoint can be checked at a glance. Being a regulator, it has no filter bowl and no lubricator - it neither removes water nor adds oil.

This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GR family spans 200, 300, 400 and 600 sizes with ports from 1/8 in to 1 in, and options include PT/G/NPT threads, MPa, psi or bar gauge scales, an external round gauge in place of the embedded square one, a reverse/check valve (code K), and bracketless (J) or bracket-included mounting; GR is also panel-mountable. We confirm flow and other datasheet figures on request, since flow is published as curves rather than a single rating.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. Note the GR temperature range is -20 to +70 °C, wider than the other G-series units. A regulator has no bowl and no filter element, so there is no filtering grade. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

Model Code: GR20008LF2G AirTAC Air Pressure Regulator G1/4 Low-Pressure

GR200G-series pressure regulator, 200 body — sets the port range.
08Port size PT1/4". This body offers 06 = PT1/8", 08 = PT1/4".
LLow-pressure type — 0.05 - 0.4 MPa (7 - 58 psi). Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type.
(blank)Fixing bracket included.
(blank)Pressure gauge fitted (blank).
FGauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square.
2Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar.
GG (BSPP) thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT.
(blank)No reverse-flow valve (the default).

Field order is size, port, type, bracket, gauge, gauge shape, scale, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GR300-08LNK is a 300 body, PT1/4", low-pressure type, no gauge, with reflux valve.

Size Class

  • GR200PT1/8" - PT1/4"
  • GR300PT1/4" - PT1/2"
  • GR400PT3/8" - PT1/2"
  • GR600PT3/4" - PT1"

A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom rather than from a single rated figure.

Where the GR20008LF2G AirTAC Air Pressure Regulator G1/4 Low-Pressure Is Used

precision_manufacturing

Low-pressure clamping on a CNC fixture line

Machining fixtures that clamp delicate or finished parts often call for reduced holding pressure rather than full line pressure. This low-pressure GR regulator, fitted at the fixture drop with its psi gauge in view, lets the setter dial in and hold the exact clamp pressure the part tolerates.

conveyor_belt

Web-tension air shafts on a converting line

Air-expanding shafts on film, foil or paper converting lines run at low, carefully held pressures to avoid crushing the core or marking the web. A GR200 low-pressure regulator at each shaft station keeps the shaft pressure steady as rolls change, with the square gauge giving the operator a clear psi readout.

Low-pressure air supply to a paint spray booth

Spray guns and air-assisted applicators in a finishing booth need a gentle, stable atomising pressure well below main line pressure. This regulator, mounted at the booth manifold with its included bracket, holds the reduced setting the finish calls for and keeps it constant through the shift.

Is the GR20008LF2G AirTAC Air Pressure Regulator G1/4 Low-Pressure the Right Regulator?

Pick the GR size by the flow your line needs: 200 is the compact step with a 1/4 in port here, and stepping up to 300, 400 or 600 buys larger ports and more flow - ask us to confirm sizing against the application, because flow is published as curves, not a single rating. Choose the low-pressure type (L) only when your circuit runs at reduced pressure - this unit regulates up to 0.4 MPa; the standard GR covers 0.05-0.9 MPa. Select the gauge scale you want (MPa, psi or bar) and square embedded or round external. Thread is G (BSPP) on this unit; PT is the standard and NPT is an order option. A mounting bracket is included, or specify J to omit it, and K adds a reverse/check valve.

Quick checklist

  • ✓ Body size for your peak flow (PT1/4" here)
  • ✓ Standard 0.9 MPa or low-pressure 0.4 MPa
  • ✓ Gauge fitted, or order N without
  • ✓ Gauge shape C round / F square
  • ✓ Scale MPa (1), psi (2) or bar (3)
  • ✓ Reflux valve needed, order K

Installation & Maintenance Notes

  • check Install downstream of the filter, following the airflow arrow.
  • check Keep inlet pressure at or below 1.0 MPa (145 psi).
  • check Set pressure while air is flowing, then lock the knob.
  • check Adjust within 0.05 - 0.4 MPa (7 - 58 psi) only.
  • check Operating range -20 to +70 °C.
  • check Panel-mount or use the fixing bracket; do not hang it on tubing.

Without a reflux valve, air cannot flow back through the regulator — order the K option if reverse flow is required. A regulator does not remove water or particulate; that is the filter's job.

GR20008LF2G AirTAC Air Pressure Regulator G1/4 Low-Pressure FAQ

AirTAC publishes GR flow as performance curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a rated flow number. Send us your application details and we will confirm the flow and sizing against the datasheet curves before you order - that way you get a figure you can rely on instead of an estimate.

L marks the low-pressure type. Where a standard GR regulates from 0.05 up to 0.9 MPa, this low-pressure version is intended for circuits running at reduced pressure and regulates up to 0.4 MPa. Everything else decodes as usual: 200 size, 1/4 in port, G thread, square gauge reading in psi, bracket included, no reverse/check valve.
