GR30015-G AirTAC Low-Pressure Air Regulator, G1/2

The AirTAC GR30015-G AirTAC Low-Pressure Air Regulator, G1/2 is a genuine G-series air pressure regulator. It holds a stable downstream pressure over the range 0.05 - 0.4 MPa (7 - 58 psi) with PT1/2" ports, and ships with a pressure gauge. A regulator does not filter the air — put a GF filter upstream, or use a GFR filter regulator, when water and particulate must also be removed.

About the GR30015-G AirTAC Low-Pressure Air Regulator, G1/2

The GR30015-G is an AirTAC GR-series air pressure regulator: its only job is to hold a steady, reduced downstream pressure from your compressed-air supply. This is the low-pressure (L) type, whose adjustment range goes up to 0.4 MPa, in the 300 size with 1/2 in G (BSPP) ports. It comes with an embedded square gauge reading in psi, a reverse/check valve fitted to hold downstream pressure when the supply drops, and a mounting bracket included; the body is also panel-mountable.

This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GR family spans sizes 200 to 600 with port sizes from 1/8 in to 1 in, in PT (standard), G and NPT threads, with round or square gauges in MPa, psi or bar scales, an optional check valve, and standard or low-pressure regulation. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us and we will confirm the datasheet figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. Note the GR temperature range is -20 to +70 °C, wider than the other G-series units. A regulator has no bowl and no filter element, so there is no filtering grade. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

Model Code: GR30015-G AirTAC Low-Pressure Air Regulator, G1/2

GR300G-series pressure regulator, 300 body — sets the port range.
15Port size PT1/2". This body offers 08 = PT1/4", 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2".
LLow-pressure type — 0.05 - 0.4 MPa (7 - 58 psi). Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type.
(blank)Fixing bracket included.
(blank)Pressure gauge fitted (blank).
FGauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square.
2Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar.
GG (BSPP) thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT.
KReverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted.

Field order is size, port, type, bracket, gauge, gauge shape, scale, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GR300-08LNK is a 300 body, PT1/4", low-pressure type, no gauge, with reflux valve.

Size Class

  • GR200PT1/8" - PT1/4"
  • GR300PT1/4" - PT1/2"
  • GR400PT3/8" - PT1/2"
  • GR600PT3/4" - PT1"

A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom rather than from a single rated figure.

Where the GR30015-G AirTAC Low-Pressure Air Regulator, G1/2 Is Used

tune

Low-pressure clamping on a packaging machine

On a carton-sealing or case-packing line, soft clamp and hold-down cylinders often need a gentle, stable pressure well below normal line pressure. This low-pressure GR regulator set at or below 0.4 MPa keeps those actuators from crushing product, and the check valve holds the clamp if the air supply dips.

valve

Pilot-supply regulation on a process valve manifold

Pneumatically actuated process valves and their positioners typically need a clean, steady pilot pressure lower than the plant main. Feeding the pilot circuit through this G1/2 low-pressure regulator, with its psi gauge visible on the panel, gives operators a set-and-read reference point at the manifold.

precision_manufacturing

Gentle actuation on a textile or converting line

Fabric guides, lay-on rollers and web-tension arms on converting equipment work best with light, consistent air pressure. This regulator lets the line engineer dial in a low setpoint and read it directly in psi, while the included bracket makes it easy to mount beside the machine's valve stack.

Is the GR30015-G AirTAC Low-Pressure Air Regulator, G1/2 the Right Regulator?

Start with the port step: this 300-size unit carries 1/2 in ports, and the right size for you depends on the flow your line needs - larger sizes carry larger ports and more flow, and we can confirm the sizing against the published flow curves before you order. Choose the low-pressure (L) type only where your setpoint stays at or below 0.4 MPa; for higher setpoints use the standard GR type, which adjusts from 0.05 to 0.9 MPa. Pick your gauge scale (MPa, psi or bar) and round or square style; this unit ships with the embedded square gauge in psi. Thread is a real choice: PT is the standard, while G (BSPP) and NPT are catalogue options you order explicitly - this unit is the G version. The fitted K option adds a reverse/check valve, useful where downstream pressure must be held if the supply fails. A mounting bracket is included, and GR is also panel-mountable.

Quick checklist

  • ✓ Body size for your peak flow (PT1/2" here)
  • ✓ Standard 0.9 MPa or low-pressure 0.4 MPa
  • ✓ Gauge fitted, or order N without
  • ✓ Gauge shape C round / F square
  • ✓ Scale MPa (1), psi (2) or bar (3)
  • ✓ Reflux valve needed, order K

Installation & Maintenance Notes

  • check Install downstream of the filter, following the airflow arrow.
  • check Keep inlet pressure at or below 1.0 MPa (145 psi).
  • check Set pressure while air is flowing, then lock the knob.
  • check Adjust within 0.05 - 0.4 MPa (7 - 58 psi) only.
  • check Operating range -20 to +70 °C.
  • check Panel-mount or use the fixing bracket; do not hang it on tubing.

The reflux valve lets air flow back through the regulator, which is useful when downstream volume must vent quickly. A regulator does not remove water or particulate; that is the filter's job.

GR30015-G AirTAC Low-Pressure Air Regulator, G1/2 FAQ

AirTAC publishes GR-series flow as curves, not as a single rated number, so we do not quote a l/min, m3/h or SCFM figure. Tell us your line pressure, setpoint and expected air demand, and we will confirm the flow figures from the datasheet for this 300-size, 1/2 in port unit on request before you order.

The L code means this regulator's adjustment range goes up to 0.4 MPa instead of the standard GR range - the right choice when your setpoint is genuinely low and you want finer control there. The K code means a reverse/check valve is fitted, so downstream pressure is held if the upstream supply is lost. Both are decodable straight from the model code GR30015LF2GK.
