GR400-15LJF1T AirTAC Air Pressure Regulator NPT1/2

The AirTAC GR400-15LJF1T AirTAC Air Pressure Regulator NPT1/2 is a genuine G-series air pressure regulator. It holds a stable downstream pressure over the range 0.05 - 0.4 MPa (7 - 58 psi) with PT1/2" ports, and ships with a pressure gauge. A regulator does not filter the air — put a GF filter upstream, or use a GFR filter regulator, when water and particulate must also be removed.

About the GR400-15LJF1T AirTAC Air Pressure Regulator NPT1/2

The GR400-15LJF1T is an AirTAC GR-series air pressure regulator: it does one job, holding a stable downstream pressure from your compressed-air supply. This is the low-pressure (L) type, adjustable up to 0.4 MPa, in the 400 size with a 1/2 in NPT port. It is regulation only - there is no filter, no bowl and no lubricator in this unit - and it carries an embedded square pressure gauge with an MPa scale. Temperature range is -20 to 70 C, the widest in the G family, and this configuration is supplied without a mounting bracket; the GR series is also panel-mountable.

This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GR series spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 in to 1 in, in standard and low-pressure types, with your choice of gauge scale (MPa, psi or bar), thread (PT standard, G or NPT to order) and bracket option. Flow for this series is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us and we will confirm the datasheet figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. Note the GR temperature range is -20 to +70 °C, wider than the other G-series units. A regulator has no bowl and no filter element, so there is no filtering grade. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

Model Code: GR400-15LJF1T AirTAC Air Pressure Regulator NPT1/2

GR400G-series pressure regulator, 400 body — sets the port range.
15Port size PT1/2". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2".
LLow-pressure type — 0.05 - 0.4 MPa (7 - 58 psi). Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type.
JSupplied without bracket.
(blank)Pressure gauge fitted (blank).
FGauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square.
1Gauge scale: MPa. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar.
TNPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT.
(blank)No reverse-flow valve (the default).

Field order is size, port, type, bracket, gauge, gauge shape, scale, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GR300-08LNK is a 300 body, PT1/4", low-pressure type, no gauge, with reflux valve.

Size Class

  • GR200PT1/8" - PT1/4"
  • GR300PT1/4" - PT1/2"
  • GR400PT3/8" - PT1/2"
  • GR600PT3/4" - PT1"

A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom rather than from a single rated figure.

Where the GR400-15LJF1T AirTAC Air Pressure Regulator NPT1/2 Is Used

tune

Low-pressure clamping circuit on a packaging machine

Packaging machines often run pneumatic clamps and hold-downs at gentle setpoints well below main-line pressure. This low-pressure regulator, set up to 0.4 MPa, lets the machine's 1/2 in air leg feed those actuators at a stable, low setpoint while the main line runs higher.

valve

Actuator supply on a water-treatment valve skid

Quarter-turn pneumatic valve actuators on treatment-plant skids frequently call for a modest, steady supply pressure. A 1/2 in NPT regulator with an MPa gauge in the actuator air line gives the operator a visible, adjustable setpoint for the whole skid.

factory

Air feed to a textile loom's low-pressure zone

Textile plants split their compressed-air ring main into pressure zones. This 400-size regulator takes a 1/2 in branch feeding looms or winding heads that need a lower, closely held pressure than the shop main, with the square gauge giving a local reading.

Is the GR400-15LJF1T AirTAC Air Pressure Regulator NPT1/2 the Right Regulator?

Start with the port step: the 400 size with its 1/2 in port suits lines running larger air consumption than the 200/300 sizes, but size against your actual demand rather than port alone - we can check the published flow curves against your application before you order. Choose the low-pressure (L) type, as here, when your setpoint sits at or below 0.4 MPa; choose the standard type for the full 0.05-0.9 MPa range. This unit has the embedded square gauge with an MPa scale; psi or bar scales are order options, as is an external round gauge. Thread is NPT on this code; PT is the standard and G is available to order. A bracket can be added if you do not want to panel-mount. Max inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi).

Quick checklist

  • ✓ Body size for your peak flow (PT1/2" here)
  • ✓ Standard 0.9 MPa or low-pressure 0.4 MPa
  • ✓ Gauge fitted, or order N without
  • ✓ Gauge shape C round / F square
  • ✓ Scale MPa (1), psi (2) or bar (3)
  • ✓ Reflux valve needed, order K

Installation & Maintenance Notes

  • check Install downstream of the filter, following the airflow arrow.
  • check Keep inlet pressure at or below 1.0 MPa (145 psi).
  • check Set pressure while air is flowing, then lock the knob.
  • check Adjust within 0.05 - 0.4 MPa (7 - 58 psi) only.
  • check Operating range -20 to +70 °C.
  • check Panel-mount or use the fixing bracket; do not hang it on tubing.

Without a reflux valve, air cannot flow back through the regulator — order the K option if reverse flow is required. A regulator does not remove water or particulate; that is the filter's job.

GR400-15LJF1T AirTAC Air Pressure Regulator NPT1/2 FAQ

AirTAC publishes regulator flow as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a l/min, m3/h or SCFM number. Tell us your line pressure, setpoint and expected air demand, and we will confirm the relevant datasheet curve for this 400-size, 1/2 in unit on request before you order.

L marks the low-pressure type: the adjustment range tops out at 0.4 MPa instead of the standard type's 0.05-0.9 MPa. It is the right choice when your process setpoint is modest, such as clamping or actuator circuits. Everything else in the code decodes as: 400 size, 1/2 in NPT port, no bracket, square gauge with MPa scale, no reverse valve.
