The AirTAC GR400-15T AirTAC Air Pressure Regulator NPT1/2 Low-Pressure is a genuine G-series air pressure regulator. It holds a stable downstream pressure over the range 0.05 - 0.4 MPa (7 - 58 psi) with PT1/2" ports, ordered without a gauge. A regulator does not filter the air — put a GF filter upstream, or use a GFR filter regulator, when water and particulate must also be removed.
The AirTAC GR400-15T is a size 400 air pressure regulator for compressed air, fitted with 1/2 in NPT ports. This is the low-pressure type, so it regulates outlet pressure up to 0.4 MPa, and it carries a built-in reverse (check) valve so downstream air is held if the upstream supply is lost. It is supplied without a pressure gauge and without a mounting bracket; as a GR unit it is also panel-mountable. Max working (inlet) pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the operating temperature range is -20 to 70 C, wider than the rest of the G-series families.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GR regulator family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 in to 1 in, and is available in standard or low-pressure types, with or without a gauge, with or without a bracket, and with an optional reverse valve, in PT, G or NPT threads. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us and we will confirm the datasheet figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. Note the GR temperature range is -20 to +70 °C, wider than the other G-series units. A regulator has no bowl and no filter element, so there is no filtering grade. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GR400 | G-series pressure regulator, 400 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 15 | Port size PT1/2". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| L | Low-pressure type — 0.05 - 0.4 MPa (7 - 58 psi). Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| N | No pressure gauge (N). |
| (blank) | Gauge shape: Factory standard. C is round, F is square. |
| (blank) | Gauge scale: Factory standard. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, type, bracket, gauge, gauge shape, scale, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GR300-08LNK is a 300 body, PT1/4", low-pressure type, no gauge, with reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom rather than from a single rated figure.

On a machining fixture or jig line, this regulator holds a reduced supply pressure to clamping cylinders, and the built-in reverse valve keeps the clamp circuit from venting if the main air supply drops.
On a cartoning or wrapping line, low-pressure air feeds small actuators and dampers; the size 400 body with 1/2 in ports sits in the main machine air drop ahead of the actuator manifold.
In a control cabinet or pneumatic panel, the GR is panel-mountable without a bracket, giving a tidy reduced-pressure supply point for pilot air to larger process valves.
Start with the port step: this unit is size 400 with 1/2 in NPT ports; smaller and larger GR sizes step down or up in port and flow capacity, so match the size to the line's air demand. Choose the low-pressure type (this unit, up to 0.4 MPa) when the circuit runs at reduced pressure, or the standard type (0.05-0.9 MPa) for general regulation. Decide on a gauge (embedded square or optional external round, in MPa, psi or bar scales), a reverse/check valve, a mounting bracket, and the thread family: PT is the standard, while G (BSPP) and NPT are order options. Because GR flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The reflux valve lets air flow back through the regulator, which is useful when downstream volume must vent quickly. A regulator does not remove water or particulate; that is the filter's job.
AirTAC publishes GR flow as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a rated flow, Cv or SCFM number. Tell us your line's air demand and we will confirm the datasheet flow figures for this size on request.
The L in the code makes this the low-pressure type, regulating up to 0.4 MPa instead of the standard 0.05-0.9 MPa range. This unit is ordered without a gauge (code N); gauge versions are available with an embedded square gauge or an optional external round gauge in MPa, psi or bar scales.
