The AirTAC GR400-15T AirTAC Low-Pressure Air Regulator, NPT1/2 is a genuine G-series air pressure regulator. It holds a stable downstream pressure over the range 0.05 - 0.4 MPa (7 - 58 psi) with PT1/2" ports, and ships with a pressure gauge. A regulator does not filter the air — put a GF filter upstream, or use a GFR filter regulator, when water and particulate must also be removed.
The GR400-15T is an AirTAC GR-series air pressure regulator: it does one job, holding a stable downstream air pressure, and it contains no filter and no lubricator. This unit is the 400 size with a 1/2 in NPT port, built as the low-pressure (L) type, so its setting range tops out at 0.4 MPa - suited to circuits that must never see full line pressure. A square pressure gauge with a bar scale is fitted as standard, a reverse/check valve (K) is included to hold the downstream setting if upstream supply dips, and a mounting bracket is included; the GR body is also panel-mountable.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GR family spans the 200, 300, 400 and 600 sizes with port sizes from 1/8 in to 1 in, in standard or low-pressure types, with or without gauge, and with PT, G (BSPP) or NPT threads to order. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm the datasheet figures for your application before ordering.

| Max. working pressure | 1.0 MPa (145 psi) |

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. Note the GR temperature range is -20 to +70 °C, wider than the other G-series units. A regulator has no bowl and no filter element, so there is no filtering grade. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GR400 | G-series pressure regulator, 400 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 15 | Port size PT1/2". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| L | Low-pressure type — 0.05 - 0.4 MPa (7 - 58 psi). Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| (blank) | Fixing bracket included. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| F | Gauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square. |
| 3 | Gauge scale: bar. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, type, bracket, gauge, gauge shape, scale, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GR300-08LNK is a 300 body, PT1/4", low-pressure type, no gauge, with reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom rather than from a single rated figure.

On a machining centre where soft-jaw or pallet clamps must grip without crushing, the GR400-15T holds a reduced supply pressure to the clamp cylinders, with the check valve keeping the setting steady if shop-air pressure dips mid-cycle.
A packaging line that clears dust and loose film from cartons with low-pressure air nozzles needs a supply well below full line pressure; this regulator caps the nozzle circuit at a safe setting and its 1/2 in port feeds a multi-nozzle manifold.
A pilot-scale process skid running pneumatic agitation or sparging at modest pressures uses the GR400-15T to hold a repeatable low setpoint, with the bar-scale square gauge giving operators a direct local readout at the rig.
Choose the GR size and port against the air demand of the circuit: this 400 size with a 1/2 in NPT port sits in the upper-middle of the range, with 200, 300 and 600 sizes stepping down or up from it. Pick the type carefully: the standard GR adjusts up to 0.9 MPa, while this low-pressure (L) type is limited to 0.4 MPa - correct where the actuator or process cannot tolerate more. The fitted square gauge reads in bar; MPa and psi scales are the other catalogue options, and an external round gauge is available. Thread is a real choice: PT is the standard, with G (BSPP) and NPT as orderable options - this unit is ordered in NPT. The K code adds a reverse/check valve, useful where backflow would upset the setting, and the bracket can be omitted (J) if panel mounting is preferred.
One honest note on sizing: AirTAC publishes GR flow as curves, not as a single rated number, so we cannot quote you a rated flow figure. Send us your application details and we will confirm the datasheet figures against your required flow before you order.
Quick checklist
The reflux valve lets air flow back through the regulator, which is useful when downstream volume must vent quickly. A regulator does not remove water or particulate; that is the filter's job.
AirTAC publishes GR regulator flow as performance curves rather than a single rated figure, so there is no one rated flow number we can honestly quote. Send us your application - required flow, inlet pressure and setpoint - and we will confirm the datasheet figures against your needs before you order.
The L in the code GR40015LF3TK marks the low-pressure type of the GR regulator, whose adjustment range tops out at 0.4 MPa. The standard GR type adjusts up to 0.9 MPa. Choose the low-pressure type where the downstream equipment must never be exposed to full-range settings; the maximum inlet pressure remains 1.0 MPa (145 psi) either way.
