GR40015NTK AirTAC Air Pressure Regulator NPT1/2

The AirTAC GR40015NTK AirTAC Air Pressure Regulator NPT1/2 is a genuine G-series air pressure regulator. It holds a stable downstream pressure over the range 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi) with PT1/2" ports, ordered without a gauge. A regulator does not filter the air — put a GF filter upstream, or use a GFR filter regulator, when water and particulate must also be removed.

About the GR40015NTK AirTAC Air Pressure Regulator NPT1/2

The GR40015NTK is an AirTAC GR-series air pressure regulator: it does one job, holding your downstream line at a set pressure regardless of swings in supply. This unit is the size-400 body with a 1/2 in NPT port, the standard pressure type with an adjustment range of 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi) and a maximum inlet pressure of 1.0 MPa (145 psi). The K in the code means a reverse (check) valve is fitted, so downstream pressure is held if the upstream supply is lost, and the N means no gauge is supplied - add one if you want a visual setpoint reference. Operating temperature is -20 to 70 C, wider than the rest of the G family, and a mounting bracket is included; the GR is also panel-mountable.

This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GR line spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 in to 1 in, plus options for thread type (PT standard, G and NPT to order), gauge and scale, low-pressure type and reverse valve. We do not quote a single rated flow figure because AirTAC publishes flow as curves - ask us and we will confirm the datasheet figures against your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. Note the GR temperature range is -20 to +70 °C, wider than the other G-series units. A regulator has no bowl and no filter element, so there is no filtering grade. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

GR400G-series pressure regulator, 400 body — sets the port range.
15Port size PT1/2". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2".
(blank)Standard type — 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type.
(blank)Fixing bracket included.
NNo pressure gauge (N).
(blank)Gauge shape: Factory standard. C is round, F is square.
(blank)Gauge scale: Factory standard. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar.
TNPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT.
KReverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted.

Field order is size, port, type, bracket, gauge, gauge shape, scale, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GR300-08LNK is a 300 body, PT1/4", low-pressure type, no gauge, with reflux valve.

Size Class

  • GR200PT1/8" - PT1/4"
  • GR300PT1/4" - PT1/2"
  • GR400PT3/8" - PT1/2"
  • GR600PT3/4" - PT1"

A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom rather than from a single rated figure.

Where the GR40015NTK AirTAC Air Pressure Regulator NPT1/2 Is Used

precision_manufacturing

Pneumatic press supply line

Set and hold a stable working pressure feeding a pneumatic press or clamping fixture, with the check valve holding the set pressure if the plant air supply drops.

factory

Packaging machine air circuit

Regulate the supply to cylinders and actuators on a packaging line, keeping actuator forces consistent from shift to shift as header pressure fluctuates.

conveyor_belt

Conveyor divertor and stopper control

Feed divertors, stoppers and lifters on a conveyor system at a fixed, repeatable pressure so sorting and stopping behaviour stays uniform across the line.

Is the GR40015NTK AirTAC Air Pressure Regulator NPT1/2 the Right Regulator?

Size up the GR by port and expected flow: sizes 200 to 600 step from 1/8 in to 1 in ports, so pick the size whose flow curve covers your demand at an acceptable pressure drop rather than matching port size alone. Decide on the gauge: none is fitted on this unit, and the optional gauges come in square (embedded) or round (external) styles with MPa, psi or bar scales. Choose the thread for your piping - PT is the catalogue standard, with G (BSPP) and NPT (as on this unit) available to order. If your setpoint never exceeds 0.4 MPa, the L low-pressure type exists; otherwise the standard type shown here is correct. The K reverse valve is worth specifying wherever a dropped supply would let downstream pressure decay.

One honest note on sizing: AirTAC publishes regulator flow as curves, not a single rated number, so we cannot state a rated flow here. Send us your flow and pressure requirements and we will confirm the right size from the datasheet before you order.

Quick checklist

  • ✓ Body size for your peak flow (PT1/2" here)
  • ✓ Standard 0.9 MPa or low-pressure 0.4 MPa
  • ✓ Gauge fitted, or order N without
  • ✓ Gauge shape C round / F square
  • ✓ Scale MPa (1), psi (2) or bar (3)
  • ✓ Reflux valve needed, order K

Installation & Maintenance Notes

  • check Install downstream of the filter, following the airflow arrow.
  • check Keep inlet pressure at or below 1.0 MPa (145 psi).
  • check Set pressure while air is flowing, then lock the knob.
  • check Adjust within 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi) only.
  • check Operating range -20 to +70 °C.
  • check Panel-mount or use the fixing bracket; do not hang it on tubing.

The reflux valve lets air flow back through the regulator, which is useful when downstream volume must vent quickly. A regulator does not remove water or particulate; that is the filter's job.

GR40015NTK AirTAC Air Pressure Regulator NPT1/2 FAQ

AirTAC publishes regulator flow as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not state a rated flow, Cv or SCFM number. Send us your required flow and working pressures and we will confirm the sizing from the datasheet on request before you order.

N means no pressure gauge is supplied with this regulator, so order a gauge separately if you want a visual setpoint reference (square embedded or round external, with MPa, psi or bar scales). K means a reverse (check) valve is fitted, which holds downstream pressure if the upstream supply is interrupted. The unit otherwise carries a mounting bracket and uses a 1/2 in NPT port; PT is the catalogue standard thread, with G and NPT available to order.
