GR600-20T AirTAC Low-Pressure Regulator NPT3/4

The AirTAC GR600-20T AirTAC Low-Pressure Regulator NPT3/4 is a genuine G-series air pressure regulator. It holds a stable downstream pressure over the range 0.05 - 0.4 MPa (7 - 58 psi) with PT3/4" ports, and ships with a pressure gauge. A regulator does not filter the air — put a GF filter upstream, or use a GFR filter regulator, when water and particulate must also be removed.

About the GR600-20T AirTAC Low-Pressure Regulator NPT3/4

The GR600-20T is an AirTAC GR-series air pressure regulator: it does one job, holding downstream pressure steady on a compressed-air line. This is the 600 size, the largest in the GR range, with a 3/4 in NPT port. The L in the code marks the low-pressure type, so the adjustment range tops out at 0.4 MPa instead of the standard range - the right choice for circuits that must never see full line pressure. A square pressure gauge scaled in bar is fitted as standard, and the K code means a reverse (check) valve is fitted so downstream pressure is held if the upstream supply drops.

This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GR family spans 200, 300, 400 and 600 sizes with ports from 1/8 in to 1 in, standard or low-pressure regulation, gauge scales in MPa, psi or bar, and optional G or NPT threads. A regulator carries no flow rating as a single figure - AirTAC publishes flow as curves - so ask us and we will confirm the datasheet figures for your application before you order.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. Note the GR temperature range is -20 to +70 °C, wider than the other G-series units. A regulator has no bowl and no filter element, so there is no filtering grade. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

Model Code: GR600-20T AirTAC Low-Pressure Regulator NPT3/4

GR600G-series pressure regulator, 600 body — sets the port range.
20Port size PT3/4". This body offers 20 = PT3/4", 25 = PT1".
LLow-pressure type — 0.05 - 0.4 MPa (7 - 58 psi). Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type.
(blank)Fixing bracket included.
(blank)Pressure gauge fitted (blank).
FGauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square.
3Gauge scale: bar. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar.
TNPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT.
KReverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted.

Field order is size, port, type, bracket, gauge, gauge shape, scale, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GR300-08LNK is a 300 body, PT1/4", low-pressure type, no gauge, with reflux valve.

Size Class

  • GR200PT1/8" - PT1/4"
  • GR300PT1/4" - PT1/2"
  • GR400PT3/8" - PT1/2"
  • GR600PT3/4" - PT1"

A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom rather than from a single rated figure.

Where the GR600-20T AirTAC Low-Pressure Regulator NPT3/4 Is Used

valve

Low-pressure actuation on a packaging line

On a carton-sealing or case-erector machine, the clamp and hold-down cylinders often run at reduced pressure so cartons are gripped, not crushed. The GR600-20T regulates that branch down to the setpoint, and the check valve keeps the cylinders from drifting back if the main air supply dips.

factory

Regulated air to a textile or paper converting machine

Splicing rollers, lay-on rolls and low-pressure hold-down stations on converting lines need a steady, limited supply pressure independent of the mill air main. A 3/4 in GR600-20T on the branch keeps that circuit at its setpoint, with the bar gauge giving operators a visible reference.

tune

Low-pressure circuit on a pneumatic test bench

Bench testing of gauges, actuators and low-pressure fittings calls for a supply that can be trimmed gently and capped well below main pressure. The low-pressure L type limits adjustment to 0.4 MPa, and the fitted check valve stops the test piece back-feeding the bench supply.

Is the GR600-20T AirTAC Low-Pressure Regulator NPT3/4 the Right Regulator?

Start with the port step: the 600 size takes a 3/4 in port and sits at the top of the GR range for larger lines, but the right size is the one whose flow curve covers your demand - we can check that against the datasheet on request. This unit is the low-pressure (L) type, adjustable up to 0.4 MPa; if your circuit needs the full standard range, choose a GR without the L code instead. The gauge here is the embedded square type scaled in bar; MPa or psi scales and an external round gauge are order options. The K code adds a reverse/check valve - leave it off only if backflow is not a concern. Thread is NPT on this unit (PT is the standard thread; G and NPT are the catalogue options to order), and a mounting bracket is included, with panel mounting also possible on GR.

Quick checklist

  • ✓ Body size for your peak flow (PT3/4" here)
  • ✓ Standard 0.9 MPa or low-pressure 0.4 MPa
  • ✓ Gauge fitted, or order N without
  • ✓ Gauge shape C round / F square
  • ✓ Scale MPa (1), psi (2) or bar (3)
  • ✓ Reflux valve needed, order K

Installation & Maintenance Notes

  • check Install downstream of the filter, following the airflow arrow.
  • check Keep inlet pressure at or below 1.0 MPa (145 psi).
  • check Set pressure while air is flowing, then lock the knob.
  • check Adjust within 0.05 - 0.4 MPa (7 - 58 psi) only.
  • check Operating range -20 to +70 °C.
  • check Panel-mount or use the fixing bracket; do not hang it on tubing.

The reflux valve lets air flow back through the regulator, which is useful when downstream volume must vent quickly. A regulator does not remove water or particulate; that is the filter's job.

GR600-20T AirTAC Low-Pressure Regulator NPT3/4 FAQ

AirTAC does not publish a single rated flow figure for GR regulators - flow is given as curves against inlet pressure and setpoint. We will not quote you a number we cannot back up: tell us your line pressure, setpoint and demand, and we will confirm the datasheet flow curve for this exact unit before you order.

L marks the low-pressure regulator type: its adjustment range tops out at 0.4 MPa rather than the standard GR range. It suits circuits that must run at reduced pressure. If your application needs adjustment above 0.4 MPa, order a standard GR600 instead. This unit also carries a reverse (check) valve (K), a square gauge scaled in bar, and a 3/4 in NPT port.
