AirTAC Pneumatics
AirTAC stroke adjustment and cushion end assemblies for HLQ, HLQL, HLS, HLSL, ACA and HGS cylinders in sizes 6 to 36 - pick the A-code screw to set the stop, or the B-code hydraulic absorber to soften it.
inventory_2110 models availableThis collection holds 110 AirTAC end assemblies that control where a cylinder stroke stops and how hard it arrives. They span six accessory families: F-HLQ (33 parts), F-HLQL (21), F-HLSL (20), F-HLS (19), F-ACA (9) and F-HGS (8), in sizes 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 20, 25, 27, 33 and 36. Prices run from $3.22 to $116.28 with a median of $27.88.
The code tells you the job. A-codes are stroke adjustment screws that set the stop position mechanically: -A covers the front and rear ends, -AS is the front end only and -AF is the rear end only. B-codes are hydraulic shock absorbers, also listed as hydraulic cushions, that absorb impact at end of travel: -B covers both ends, -BS the front and -BF the rear. AirTAC's own part titles use both wordings, so a buyer cross-checking a datasheet either way lands on the same part.
Two single-purpose parts round out the range: the F-ACA-LM positioning stop nut (sizes 8-36) sets and locks a stop position on ACA, and the F-HGS-J is the stroke adjustment screw for HGS. Treat HLQ/HLQL and HLS/HLSL as separate series: the trailing L is part of the series name in the model code, not an option letter, and AirTAC does not publish what distinguishes HLQL from HLQ. Order the series printed on your cylinder; the wrong one will not fit.

An F-HLQ -A adjustment screw end lets a technician set the exact retract stop of a horizontal transfer cylinder mechanically, trimming the position without re-shimming the mount.
A B-code hydraulic cushion end on an HLS-series stopper cylinder decelerates the piston near stroke end, so a gate or pusher stops without slamming at end of travel.
The F-ACA-LM positioning stop nut, available in sizes 8-36, sets and locks a fixed stop position on an ACA cylinder where the stroke end must stay put once adjusted.
Carton push and clamp cylinders cycling at speed benefit from -B front or rear cushion ends that absorb the impact exactly at the end that takes the hit.
Start from the job. If you need to set or trim where the piston stops, choose the A-code adjustment screw; if you need to soften the arrival, choose the B-code hydraulic cushion. Then choose the end: the -S codes cover the front end only, -F codes the rear end only, and the plain letter covers both. Finally match the size to the cylinder. Before ordering, confirm five points: the series (HLQ, HLQL, HLS, HLSL, ACA or HGS), the size, the end (front, rear or both), the code letter (A or B, plus S or F), and the exact model code printed on your cylinder.
Step out of this collection when the problem is not the stroke end. If the complaint is leakage rather than harsh impact, a seal kit from /repair-kits is the right fix. If you need to fix the cylinder body rather than control its travel, see /mounting-brackets. JCK clamp cylinder arms and their adjustment screw live in /clamp-arms - same set-where-it-stops idea, different series, not interchangeable. The full /cylinder-accessories family lists 1107 parts.
Quick checklist
There are 110 end assemblies across six families (F-HLQ, F-HLQL, F-HLSL, F-HLS, F-ACA, F-HGS) in sizes 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 20, 25, 27, 33 and 36. Prices run from $3.22 to $116.28 with a median of $27.88. Absorber stroke, adjustment range and other per-size figures are not published here - confirm from the datasheet.
A-codes are stroke adjustment screws: they set the stop position mechanically. B-codes are hydraulic shock absorbers (AirTAC also calls them hydraulic cushions): they absorb impact at end of travel. -A and -B cover front and rear ends; -AS and -BS are the front end only; -AF and -BF are the rear end only. Choose A to set where it stops, B to soften how it arrives.
No. HLQ/HLQL and HLS/HLSL are treated as separate series - the trailing L is part of the series name in the model code, not an option letter. AirTAC does not publish what distinguishes HLQL from HLQ or HLSL from HLS, so order the exact series printed on your cylinder nameplate; the wrong end assembly will not fit.
