Two prefixes tell you what kind of part you are holding: F- marks hardware such as brackets, frames, joints, gauges, mounts and fittings, while P- marks service and manifold parts such as repair kits, blanking plates and adapter plates. The digits after the marker are a size, and in the great majority of cases that size is the cylinder bore. A magnet, thread or stroke option on your cylinder does not change which accessory it needs - the size does. A B52- prefix in front of either marker denotes the copper-free, special-order line, which is quoted on request rather than sold as standard stock.

A 40 mm bore cylinder that has started to bleed air at the seals takes a repair kit instead of a full replacement. The 151-part repair kit collection covers both cylinders and valves, and the kit code carries the same size digit as the cylinder it serves.
Adding position sensing to a conveyor stopper cylinder
The 80-part sensor collection provides mounts, straps and cables that fit magnetic switches to SI, SC, SDA and other cylinders. Remember F-SC-LB clamps the cylinder and F-SC clamps the switch - one letter apart, two completely different parts.
Turning a standard bore into a guided pick-and-place axis
Guide frames and carriages (226 parts) add side-load resistance to standard bores for gripper and tool-plate assemblies. F-TSAIM40X100 is the frame only with no cylinder in it; the complete guided actuator is TSAIM40X100 without the F-.
