About the Airtac ACEJ80~100 Adjustable Compact Cylinder ACEJ100X55-40S
A double acting ISO 21287 compact cylinder with a 100 mm bore and a 55 mm stroke that an external stop screw trims on site: the -40 code gives a 40 mm window, so the extend stroke can be set anywhere from 15 to 55 mm without changing the cylinder. At 0.5 MPa it pushes 3927 N and pulls 3769.9 N, and at 0.7 MPa push rises to 5497.8 N, putting this bore in the heavy-clamp and press class. The short body saves about 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, so it slots into presses, weld fixtures and gantries where a full-length body will not fit.
The hard-anodized aluminium body carries a S45C hard-chrome plated 20 mm rod, with a fixed TPU bumper at each end to absorb end-of-stroke impact. Because this model carries the -S magnet option, CMSE or DMSE reed and solid-state switches can be clamped anywhere along the body for end-of-stroke signals.
