About the Airtac ASP Single Acting Guided Compact Cylinder ASP100X15
A single acting push cylinder with spring return, the ASP100X15 uses shop air to extend its 25 mm rod and an internal spring to retract it, so one air line is all the plumbing takes. At the big 100 mm bore it delivers 3640.7 N of push at 0.5 MPa (5211.5 N at 0.7 MPa), already net of the spring, and it runs on 0.2-1.0 MPa (28-145 psi) with a 1/4" port and a female M16x1.5 rod thread.
The short ISO 21287-style body saves roughly 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, which is why it slots into heavy clamping fixtures and press heads where a full-length body cannot. In practice, plan on about 2184 N of usable work at 0.5 MPa, which lifts roughly 185 kg vertically with a 2:1 margin. Note this model is discontinued: the current-production drop-in is the ASE100X15, so confirm ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping.

Size down to an ASP63X15 (1420.5 N at 0.5 MPa) if your part weighs under about 85 kg, or stay at 100 mm when you need the full 3640.7 N. Remember the spring drives the rod home on air loss, so it will not hold a mid-stroke position. FA/FB flange or LB foot mounts bolt to the same face, and if you need end-of-stroke sensing, order the -S code to enable CMSE / DMSE switches. For new builds, specify the ASE100X15 instead.
