The AirTAC Airtac B03-3V Explosion-proof Solenoid Valve B03-3V22008B is a genuine 3-port 2-position (3/2) solenoid valve. A 3/2 valve either feeds its outlet or vents it to exhaust, so it suits single-acting cylinders, air blow, clamping, vacuum switching and pilot duty. We stock this code and confirm its published figures from the datasheet on request.
The 3V22008B is a 3-port, 2-position (3/2) solenoid valve made by AirTAC. Three ports - supply, outlet, exhaust - and two states mean the valve does one of two jobs: it either feeds air to the outlet or vents the outlet to exhaust. With its 1/4 inch port, this is the body to reach for when the single-acting actuator or blow line downstream is bigger than an M5 or 1/8 inch valve suits. The order code sets a DC24V coil on a DIN plug entry, and the thread is PT, the manufacturer default on this family.
This is a genuine AirTAC part, ordered exactly as coded. The wider family lets you choose either initial state (NC or NO), any of five coil voltages (AC220V, DC24V, AC110V, AC24V, DC12V), DIN plug or flying-lead entry, and 3V-F manifold bases that run several valves from one shared supply. Pressure, flow, coil power, response time and every other datasheet figure will be confirmed to you on request through an RFQ.

A 3/2 valve has three ports — supply, outlet and exhaust — and two states. It either feeds the outlet or vents it to exhaust, and that is the whole job.
That makes it the right valve for a single-acting (spring-return) cylinder, on/off air blow, a clamp, switching a vacuum generator or suction cup, and piloting a larger valve.
It cannot run a double-acting cylinder. A double-acting cylinder needs air alternately on two sides, which takes a 5-port valve — the AirTAC 4V series.
Switch a spring-return clamp cylinder that holds a housing while holes are drilled. Drop the signal and the spring retracts the clamp, freeing the part.
Give the operator a solenoid-switched jet of shop air to clear chips from a fixture between cutting cycles.
Use the 3/2 valve to pressurise or vent the actuator of a larger process valve, opening or closing it on command.
Two checks before you order. First, state: this code does not write NC or NO on the face of it, so tell us which initial state your fail-safe logic needs - normally closed puts no air at the outlet until energised; normally open keeps feeding the outlet until switched. Second, size: a 1/4 inch port suits a larger spring-return cylinder or blow line than 1/8 inch, but a 3/2 valve can never drive a double-acting cylinder - that takes a 5-port AirTAC 4V valve. Published flow figures for this family are not in our hands, so ask us to check the sizing against your actuator first; if you want a 3-port valve with published flow and coil power in front of you today, the documented 3V2 and 3V3 bodies are the place to look. G and NPT threads are catalogue options; PT is standard.
Confirm before you order
Pressure range, flow (Cv), coil power, response time, temperature limits and weight all come from the manufacturer datasheet, and we will confirm every one of them on request - raise an RFQ and you get the figures, not estimates. If you need published flow and coil power printed in front of you before you buy, the documented AirTAC 3V2 and 3V3 bodies carry those figures.
No. A 3/2 valve has one outlet, so it can only feed or vent a single-acting, spring-return actuator. A double-acting cylinder needs pressurised air to both sides, which takes a 5-port valve - use the AirTAC 4V series for that job.
