The PSL401A-S is a threaded speed controller with a SUS304 stainless throttling column, built for circuits where brass cannot be tolerated. Screw the 1/8 PT thread into the component port, push a Dia 4 soft nylon or polyurethane tube into the one-touch socket, and the A suffix sets the control direction: air flowing from the thread port into the tube is throttled, while the return path passes free. That is meter-out, the configuration AirTAC itself ranks first, because choking the exhaust of a double-acting cylinder leaves a back-pressure cushion and the stroke glides instead of lurching.
Adjustment is a grey knob with an aluminium locking cap; once the speed is set you nip the cap down and vibration cannot drift the setting. Meter-Out or Meter-In?
