The AirTAC BSE50X75 is a double-acting ISO 15552 profile cylinder with an integrated spring-applied, air-released rod lock. A collet clamps the Ø20 mm piston rod to deliver a bidirectional static holding force of 1400 N without requiring live air. Operating pressure is capped at 0.7 MPa, and the cylinder port is PT1/4.
This fail-safe mechanism holds the load exactly where it stopped if air pressure drops or an E-stop trips. The lock is not a dynamic brake: engage it only after the rod fully stops, and release it only when piston pressures are balanced, allowing at least 0.5 s before moving. A separate G1/8 port unlocks the collet, while adjustable air cushions handle end-of-stroke deceleration.
