The AirTAC MALD40X25 is a discontinued double-acting, double-rod mini cylinder. A rod exits both ends, delivering equal force both ways at 528 N at 0.5 MPa. The direct drop-in replacement is the MBLD40X25, matching the 40mm bore, 25mm stroke, G1/4 port and mounting.
This SKU has no magnet and cannot take a position sensor. The original MALD uses threaded covers and older CS1-M/DS1-M switches; the MBLD upgrades to a riveted rolling-packed body with CMSG/DMSG/EMSG sensors. It uses a fixed rubber bumper, not an adjustable cushion. Twin rods resist rotation and double the bearing load.
