The AirTAC AirTAC 3V210-06 Solenoid Valve, 3V200 Series (3V21006NOB) is a genuine 3-port 2-position (3/2) solenoid valve with 1/8 in ports. A 3/2 valve either feeds its outlet or vents it to exhaust, so it suits single-acting cylinders, air blow, clamping, vacuum switching and pilot duty. We stock this code and confirm its published figures from the datasheet on request.
The 3V21006NOB is a three-port, two-position solenoid valve: supply, outlet and exhaust, with the valve resting in the open state. Until the coil is energised, air passes through to the outlet; power applied closes that path and dumps downstream air to exhaust. Wiring it to de-energise on a shutdown therefore keeps the line fed without extra logic.
AirTAC manufactures this valve, and the code tells you the wiring story: a DC24V coil that plugs into a standard DIN socket, so the coil can be exchanged from the front of the valve without touching the machine wiring. The same body can be ordered normally closed, in AC220V, AC110V, AC24V or DC12V, with flying-lead entry, or mounted on a 3V-F manifold base. Datasheet figures for pressure, flow and power are confirmed by our team on request.

A 3/2 valve has three ports — supply, outlet and exhaust — and two states. It either feeds the outlet or vents it to exhaust, and that is the whole job.
That makes it the right valve for a single-acting (spring-return) cylinder, on/off air blow, a clamp, switching a vacuum generator or suction cup, and piloting a larger valve.
It cannot run a double-acting cylinder. A double-acting cylinder needs air alternately on two sides, which takes a 5-port valve — the AirTAC 4V series.
Normally open wiring keeps a purge jet running through a control outage, because the valve only shuts the outlet when the coil is energised.
A single-acting ejector pin stays extended through a power cut; energising the coil vents it and the spring retracts the pin on command.
An operator-controlled blast that clears swarf from the workpiece; the 1/8in port matches the compact fittings typical of a small nozzle.
Start from the fail-safe question: what should the outlet do when power is lost? If the answer is keep feeding air, this normally open valve is correct; if it is shut and vent, order the NC variant instead. The 1/8in port takes common push-in fittings and suits compact single-acting cylinders and small blow lines; larger actuators should step up to a 1/4in or 3/8in port in the family. The 24V DC coil must match a 24V DC panel supply - the voltage is part of the coil, not a setting. Need several valves on one air feed? The matching 3V-F manifold base carries them side by side. We do not hold published flow data for this family, so send your cylinder or nozzle details with the RFQ and we will check sizing against the datasheet. Buyers who need documented figures immediately can turn to the AirTAC 3V2 or 3V3 bodies, and a double-acting cylinder calls for the AirTAC 4V series instead. Threads are PT as standard, with G and NPT available to order.
Confirm before you order
We keep those numbers in the AirTAC datasheet and will send them with your RFQ reply rather than quoting unverified figures here. If your project needs published performance data today, the AirTAC 3V2 and 3V3 3-port bodies have documented flow and coil-power figures you can design against.
De-energised, this normally open valve feeds the outlet; energised, it vents. That makes it wrong for circuits that must shut off air on power loss - order the NC version for that. Neither state can drive a double-acting cylinder: it has only one outlet, so use an AirTAC 4V 5-port valve there.
