The AirTAC BSE125X900S is a double-acting ISO 15552 profile cylinder with an integrated spring-applied, air-released rod lock. A collet clamps the 32 mm rod to deliver 8600 N of bidirectional static holding force without consuming live air. Operating pressure is capped at 0.7 MPa, and the lock uses a separate G1/8 release port to disengage.
This 125 mm bore, 900 mm stroke unit features a magnetic piston for CMSE or DMSE sensors. The lock is fail-safe: if air is lost or an E-stop trips, the collet clamps and holds the load. The air cushion is not the hold; the collet lock is. Engage the lock only after the rod stops, and allow at least 0.5 s for full release before moving.
