A collet clamps the 16 mm piston rod automatically, providing a 900 N bidirectional static holding force with zero live air. If air pressure drops or an E-stop trips, the rod is held safely in place.
Operating pressure is capped at 0.7 MPa, and the lock is released via a separate G1/8 port. The lock is a holding device, not a dynamic brake; you must engage it only after the rod stops and release it only when piston pressures are balanced. Because the 250 mm stroke is 300 mm or below, side-load risks are moderate, but linear guides are still recommended for off-center loads.
