The AirTAC BSE50X175S is a double-acting ISO 15552 profile cylinder with an integrated spring-applied, air-released rod lock. A collet clamps the Ø20 mm rod to provide a 1400 N bidirectional static holding force. If air pressure drops or an E-stop trips, the lock engages fail-safe to hold the load exactly where it stopped.
Operating pressure is capped at 0.7 MPa, and unlocking requires 0.15-0.7 MPa supplied to the separate G1/8 release port. The cylinder runs at 30-800 mm/s with 30 mm adjustable air cushions on both ends. The -S magnet supports CMSE reed and DMSE electronic sensors for position feedback.
