The AirTAC BSE50X800S is a double-acting single-rod ISO 15552 profile cylinder featuring an integrated spring-applied, air-released rod lock. A collet clamps the Ø20 mm piston rod automatically, delivering a 1400 N bidirectional static holding force with zero live air required. This fail-safe mechanism ensures suspended or vertical loads remain exactly where they stopped if air pressure drops or an emergency stop is triggered.
Operating pressure is capped at 0.7 MPa, and the lock unlocks via a separate G1/8 port. The cylinder itself uses a PT1/4 port, includes adjustable air cushions at both ends, and carries an -S magnet for CMSE reed or DMSE electronic sensors.
