The AirTAC MALD is a double-acting, double-rod aluminum mini round cylinder. Because a rod exits both ends, push and pull force are equal, and the unit provides inherent anti-rotation. The series spans 4 bores: 20, 25, 32 and 40 mm. At 0.5 MPa, force output spans from 132 N on the 20 mm bore up to 528 N on the 40 mm bore. Ports are G1/8 on the 20/25/32 mm bores and G1/4 on the 40 mm bore, available in PT, G and NPT threads.
This series uses threaded covers and is not an ISO cylinder. The double-rod design allows the rear rod to carry a sensor cam, making it suitable for driving two tools in a compact envelope or resisting rotational torque.
The MALD series is discontinued. The direct AirTAC replacement is the MBLD series, which matches the MALD on bore, stroke, equal-both-ways force, port and mounting. The MBLD upgrades the construction to a riveted body and moves sensors to the current CMSG/DMSG/EMSG lines. Ratings remain identical.

How to Choose the Right Model
Choose the MALD (or its MBLD replacement) when you need equal force in both directions, anti-rotation, or a rear rod for a sensor cam. Select the 20 or 25 mm bore for lighter loads up to roughly 132-206 N at 0.5 MPa, and the 32 or 40 mm bore for loads up to 528 N. If you only need single-rod action, step down to the AirTAC MBL series.
