The clamp locks only after the rod has completely stopped; it cannot brake a moving load. Safety-critical applications require an additional independent safety measure. To unlock safely, balance the pressures or the rod may jump abruptly. This stroke is short, so side-load stress is minimal, but the M20x1.5 rod thread handles lateral forces well. Replacement requires a double-rod 100x80 body with PT ports, a G1/8 unlock port, and a BSAID mounting set (Basic, FA, LB, TC, TCM1, TCM2).
