If your load is lighter, stepping down to the 80 mm bore offers 2268 N thrust and a 3600 N holding force, which might suffice. The BSAID125X800 excels over a SAIL cylinder because the enclasp locks at any position rather than just at stroke ends, whereas a plain SAID suffices if no mid-stroke holding is needed. For safety, the clamp cannot brake a moving rod and only unlocks when cylinder pressures are balanced, so human-safety applications need an independent secondary measure.
As a drop-in replacement, verify the double-rod layout, 125 mm bore, 800 mm stroke, PT ported 1/2 cylinder connections, and the G1/8 enclasp port. The 32 mm rod and M27x2 thread provide high side-load capacity, but at 800 mm stroke, an external guide rail is strongly recommended to prevent rod binding.
