It delivers an equal thrust of 825 N in both directions at 0.5 MPa, while the integrated enclasp mechanism provides a static holding force of 1400 N. Remember that holding force and thrust are separate quantities; you must size the 1400 N clamp capacity against your static load, not the cylinder's push or pull thrust.

Because the rod extends from both ends, you can mount a workpiece on one side and a counterweight or position flag on the other for dual-side guidance. The clamp locks the carbon steel rod at any position along the 100 mm stroke, but only after the piston has stopped moving. A third G1/8 enclasp port releases the lock using 0.15-0.7 MPa air, which requires balanced pressures on both sides of the piston to prevent the rod from jumping abruptly upon release.

Choose this 50 mm bore when you need equal force both ways and a 1400 N static hold anywhere in the 100 mm travel. If your load is lighter, the 40 mm bore offers 528 N thrust and a 900 N hold; for heavier loads, the 63 mm bore provides 1402 N thrust and a 2200 N hold. This BSAID model outperforms a stroke-end-only SAIL lock when you must freeze the load mid-travel, whereas a plain SAID suffices if holding is handled externally. The clamp is not a moving-rod brake; it engages only after the cylinder stops, and safety-critical applications need an independent backup measure.
