It is vital to distinguish this 1400 N holding force from the 825 N thrust; the clamp secures the static load, while thrust drives the motion. The clamp is engaged by a spring and released via a separate G1/8 enclasp port using 0.15-0.7 MPa air. Note that the variable air cushion only decelerates the piston near stroke ends; it does not hold the load. The clamp locks only after the rod stops, and unlocking requires balanced pressure to prevent the rod from jumping abruptly.

This 50 mm bore model uses a PT 1/4 cylinder port alongside the G1/8 unlock port. It accepts Basic, FA, LB, TC, TCM1, and TCM2 mounts (omitting FB/CA/CB/CR due to the double-rod). The -S magnet works with CMSE reed and DMSE electronic sensors. Because the 500 mm stroke is long, an external guide is recommended to manage side loads. Safety-critical applications require an independent backup measure, as the clamp cannot brake a moving rod.
