If holding is only needed at the stroke ends rather than mid-travel, a plain SAI cylinder suffices.
This clamp locks only after the rod has stopped moving; it cannot brake a dynamic load. Safety-critical applications require an additional independent safety measure. At 500 mm of stroke, the long unsupported rod demands an external guide to prevent side-load wear. The unit includes a -S magnet for CMSE (reed) and DMSE (solid-state) sensors.
