The AirTAC BSE100X400 is a double-acting ISO 15552 profile cylinder with an integrated spring-applied, air-released rod lock. It provides a robust 5500 N bidirectional static holding force. If air pressure drops or an E-stop trips, the collet clamps the 25 mm rod instantly, locking the load safely in place without consuming live air.
Operating pressure is capped at 0.7 MPa to protect the mechanism. The cylinder uses adjustable air cushions at both ends to absorb kinetic energy, but the actual holding work is done entirely by the mechanical lock. This specific SKU lacks a magnet, so it does not support CMSE or DMSE position sensors.
