The AirTAC BSE40X400S is a double-acting ISO 15552 profile cylinder with an integrated spring-applied, air-released rod lock. A collet clamps the 16 mm rod to provide a 900 N bidirectional static holding force. This fail-safe mechanism holds the load in place with zero live air if pressure drops or an E-stop trips.
Operating pressure is capped at 0.7 MPa, and the lock unlocks via a separate G1/8 port. The cylinder port is PT1/4, and the 400 mm stroke is managed by adjustable air cushions at both ends. The -S magnet option supports CMSE reed and DMSE electronic sensors for position feedback.
