The AirTAC BSE50X600S is a double-acting ISO 15552 profile cylinder with an integrated spring-applied, air-released rod lock. A collet clamps the 20mm rod, delivering a 1400 N bidirectional static holding force with zero live air. Operating pressure is capped at 0.7 MPa.
The lock uses a separate G1/8 release port, completely distinct from the adjustable air cushions. Because it is fail-safe, an E-stop or pressure loss instantly clamps the rod. The -S magnet enables position detection with CMSE reed or DMSE electronic sensors.
Rod Lock — 1400 N Static Holding (Ø50mm)
A spring clamps the collet onto the rod, so the Airtac BSE Clamp Standard Cylinder BSE50X600S holds its position in both directions when air is lost, exhausted or an E-stop trips. Apply 0.15–0.7 MPa to the G1/8 release port to unlock. Allow at least 0.5 s for full release before moving.
