A collet clamps the Ø20 mm piston rod automatically, providing a 1400 N bidirectional static holding force with zero live air required. Operating pressure is capped at 0.15-0.7 MPa, lower than a standard SE cylinder.\n\nBecause the lock is fail-safe, exhausting the air or tripping an E-stop instantly clamps the rod at its stopped position. The lock is a holding device, not a dynamic brake; it must engage only after the rod stops and release only when piston pressures balance, allowing at least 0.5 s before moving.
