If your application demands clamping at an arbitrary mid-stroke point rather than the stroke end, the BSAI clamp-lock cylinder is the correct alternative.
For safe operation, avoid using fast-exhaust valves with this cylinder, as back-pressure on the locker side can unintentionally release the lock; an independent-exhaust solenoid valve is required. The PT port thread and 3/4-inch fitting must be matched during plumbing. Because the 350mm stroke exceeds 300mm, implementing external guide rails is recommended to prevent excessive side-load wear on the 40mm carbon steel rod and seals. If human safety depends on the load remaining retracted, always add an independent mechanical safety measure.
