AirTAC has phased out the MAL series. The drop-in replacement is SAUD40X25 — same bore, stroke, output force, port and mounting, so it fits the same application. Simply order the SAUD40X25 in place of this model. The SAU replacement uses the same profile body, bore, stroke, force and SC-series mounting. It moves to the current CMSG / DMSG / EMSG sensor switches (the SU used CS1-B / DS1-B) and adds the SAUF valve-integrated option.

About the Airtac SUD Series Double Rod Cylinder SUD40X25
The AirTAC SUD40X25 is a double-acting, double-rod profile cylinder featuring a 40mm bore and 25mm stroke. A rod exits both ends on a single piston, meaning push and pull force are equal at 528N @0.5 MPa, 739N @0.7 MPa, and 950N @0.9 MPa. This model is discontinued; the exact drop-in replacement is the SAUD40X25, retaining the same 1/4" port, M12x1.25 rod thread, and 21mm adjustable cushions. This non-magnet SKU cannot accept a sensor.
The dual-rod design prevents rotation and allows driving two tools simultaneously from one compact aluminium body. Based on the 528N @0.5 MPa force, the computed safe working load is 317N, and it can vertically lift approximately 27kg with a 2:1 margin. Note that air cushions only decelerate the piston near stroke end; an external rod lock is required to hold loads on air loss.
