The AirTAC SUD40X75 is a double-acting, double-rod profile cylinder featuring a 40mm bore and 75mm stroke. Because a rod exits both ends on one piston, both faces use the rod-side area, making push and pull force equal both ways (528N at 0.5MPa). This extruded aluminium profile barrel is more compact than an ISO 15552 cylinder of the same bore. This SUD40X75 model is discontinued; the exact drop-in replacement is the SAUD40X75, retaining the 1/4 inch port, M12x1.25 rod thread, and FA/LB mounting.
A key benefit of the double-rod design is anti-rotation, while the back rod can simultaneously drive a second tool. Without a magnetic piston, this SKU cannot take a switch. For sizing, the safe working load is roughly 317N (60% of the 528N at 0.5MPa figure), allowing a vertical lift of about 27kg with a 2:1 margin. Note that the air cushion only decelerates near stroke end; an external rod lock is required to hold loads on air loss.
