A rod extends from both ends, allowing you to mount a workpiece on one side and a guide or position flag on the other for dual-side anti-rotation. The lock engages only after the cylinder has stopped, as it cannot brake a moving rod. To release the clamp, air must be applied to the dedicated G1/8 enclasp port, but pressures on both sides of the piston must be balanced first to prevent the rod from jumping abruptly. The variable air cushions only decelerate the piston near stroke ends; they do not hold the load.

As a replacement, match the 63 mm bore, 150 mm stroke, PT port threads, and carbon steel rods. The BSAID mounting set includes Basic, FA, LB, TC, TCM1, and TCM2 (omitting FB, CA, CB, and CR). Because this model lacks the -S magnet option, it cannot use CMSE reed or DMSE electronic sensors. Always ensure the cylinder has stopped and pressures are balanced before unlocking, and add an independent safety measure for human-safety-critical holds.
