This enclasp mechanism is bidirectional, but it only engages after the cylinder has stopped moving—it cannot brake a rod in motion. Unlocking requires a third G1/8 port and balanced air pressure (0.15-0.7 MPa) on both sides of the piston; otherwise, the rod may jump abruptly upon release. The variable air cushions only decelerate the piston near the stroke ends, while the clamp provides the actual holding power.

This model features a 20 mm carbon steel rod with an M16x1.5 thread, PT tapered ports (3/8 cylinder, G1/8 enclasp), and operates at 30-800 mm/s. It accepts Basic, FA, LB, TC, TCM1, or TCM2 mountings (omitting FB/CA/CB/CR). Without a magnet (-S), it cannot host CMSE or DMSE sensors. For this 160 mm stroke, the robust rod handles side loads well, but longer strokes over 300 mm require external guidance.
