If your load is lighter, stepping down to a 63 mm bore offers 1402 N pull and a 2200 N hold. If you only need to hold at stroke ends, a SAIL cylinder suffices, but choose this BSAID to lock anywhere mid-stroke. For simple transfer without holding, a plain SAID is adequate.
The clamp locks only after the rod has stopped; it cannot brake a moving rod. Unlocking requires balanced air pressures on both sides, or the rod may jump abruptly. For safety-critical loads, add an independent external measure. This PT-port model uses a 25 mm rod with an M20x1.5 thread, supporting high side loads. It accepts Basic, FA, LB, TC, TCM1, and TCM2 mounts (omitting FB/CA/CB/CR). As no magnet is specified, it will not support CMSE or DMSE sensors.
