The AirTAC Airtac B06-MAC Battery-Specific Cylinder B06-MAC16X450SU is a genuine double acting + cushion standard round-body mini air cylinder with a Ø0mm bore and 450mm stroke, PT/G air ports and a stainless-steel barrel with a hard-chrome-plated rod for reliable, mildly corrosion-resistant service. A variable air cushion at both ends lets you tune end-of-stroke deceleration on site.
With a flat-end U back cover and a 450 mm stroke, this double-acting MAC16X450SU mini cylinder cushions at both ends so faster cycles do not hammer the covers. Push is 100.5 N at 0.5 MPa (140.7 N at 0.7 MPa), enough to lift about 5 kg vertically once you halve the 10 kg theoretical figure for a 2:1 margin.
The stainless tube and hard-chrome plated rod cope with damp, dusty or lightly washed-down spots where painted minis corrode. A magnet comes built in as standard - CMSG, DMSG and EMSG switches drop straight on. Operating range 0.15-1.0 MPa (22-145 psi), proof 1.5 MPa (215 psi).

Specifications follow the official AirTAC MA-series datasheet. Barrel: stainless-steel tube (round-body, riveted rolling-packed construction); piston rod: carbon steel with 20µm hard-chrome plating; covers: aluminium alloy. Thread options: PT (blank) / G / NPT. Every MA-series cylinder ships with a built-in magnet for CMSG / DMSG / EMSG position sensors.

| 0.7 MPa | 0 N | 0 N |
| Max (@1.0 MPa) | 0 kgf | |
Actual usable force is lower than theoretical due to friction and back-pressure. Size with a safety margin.
| MAC | Standard round-body mini cylinder (double-acting, variable cushion). |
|---|---|
| 0 | Bore size in mm. |
| ×450 | Stroke length in mm. |
| -S | Built-in magnet for CMSG / DMSG / EMSG sensors (standard on MA series). |
| CA / U / CM | Back-cover type: CA pivot, U flat-end, CM round-end. |
MA-family variants: MA / MAC (double acting ±cushion), MSA / MTA (single acting push / pull), MAD / MACD (double rod ±cushion), MAJ / MACJ (adjustable stroke ±cushion), MAR (cushioned with integrated F/U mount). Mounting accessories: FA flange, LB foot, SDB pivot; plus I and Y knuckles. Thread PT (blank) / G / NPT.
Flags each 450 mm index of a light parcel sorter; the flat-end U cover bolts flush against the frame rail.
About 5 kg of conservative vertical lift suits clamping veneer panels in a small joinery press at 0.5 MPa.
Cushioned 450 mm advance moves blister trays into a heat-seal nest without end-of-stroke bounce.
This is the smallest bore AirTAC makes in the series; when 100.5 N at 0.5 MPa is not enough, the next size up is bore 20 at 157 N push. Keep in mind the rod will drift when the valve centres - air is not trapped, so add a rod lock or check valve for suspended loads. With 450 mm of travel, brace or guide the load to protect the 6 mm rod from side bending.
The U flat end takes a fixed mount directly; add FA flange or LB foot hardware where the frame demands it. Port thread comes as PT (blank) with G and NPT options on the M5x0.8 connections.
Quick checklist
Push 100.5 N and pull 86.4 N at 0.5 MPa; push 140.7 N and pull 120.9 N at 0.7 MPa; 20.5 kgf theoretical max at 1.0 MPa. Speed 30-800 mm/s, pressure 0.15-1.0 MPa (22-145 psi), M5x0.8 ports, rod thread M6x1.0.
Both ends carry a variable air cushion. Back the needle screws fully off before start-up, then close them gradually until the end-of-stroke thud disappears at your working speed. This is an air cushion, not a lock - the rod still drifts if air is lost.
