The AirTAC BSE80X400 is a double-acting, single-rod ISO 15552 profile cylinder with an integrated spring-applied, air-released rod lock. It provides a bidirectional fail-safe static holding force of 3600 N with no live air required, running at an operating pressure ceiling of 0.7 MPa.
The lock uses a clamping collet on the Ø25 mm rod and is controlled via a separate G1/8 release port. You must engage the lock only after the rod stops, and release it only when piston pressures are balanced, allowing at least 0.5 s before moving.
Rod Lock — 3600 N Static Holding (Ø80mm)
A spring clamps the collet onto the rod, so the Airtac BSE Clamp Standard Cylinder BSE80X400 holds its position in both directions when air is lost, exhausted or an E-stop trips. Apply 0.15–0.7 MPa to the G1/8 release port to unlock.
