The AirTAC Airtac ASP Single Acting Guided Compact Cylinder ASP20X15S is a single acting, push (spring return) DIN-standard tight/compact air cylinder with a Ø20mm bore and 15mm stroke, M5×0.8 air ports and a hard-anodized aluminium body. This model is discontinued — the current-production replacement is the ASE20X15S (ISO 21287 ACE), in the same bore, stroke and force class.
A single acting push cylinder with spring return, the discontinued ASP20X15S uses air to extend the rod and an internal spring to retract it, so one air line is all the plumbing a 20 mm bore station needs. At 0.5 MPa it delivers 127.4 N of push, already net of the spring, rising to 190.2 N at 0.7 MPa; the spring only wins below 0.2 MPa, the minimum working pressure. The short ISO 21287-class body saves roughly 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, which is why it slots into tight fixture plates and guarding where a full-length body will not fit.
Because the S code is in this model, the optional -S magnet is fitted, so CMSE or DMSE reed and solid-state switches can be clipped on for end-of-stroke signalling without any extra ordering step. A fixed TPU bumper at each end decelerates the rod, and the hard-anodized aluminium body with an S45C hard-chrome rod stands up to daily cycling. Plan on about 76 N of real work at 0.5 MPa (roughly 60% of the rating), which corresponds to lifting about 6 kg vertically with a 2:1 margin. This model is discontinued: the current-production replacement is the ASE20X15, and buyers should confirm the ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping, since the ASP follows a DIN-standard footprint.
