The AirTAC Airtac ASP Single Acting Guided Compact Cylinder ASP25X15S is a single acting, push (spring return) DIN-standard tight/compact air cylinder with a Ø25mm bore and 15mm stroke, M5×0.8 air ports and a hard-anodized aluminium body. This model is discontinued — the current-production replacement is the ASE25X15S (ISO 21287 ACE), in the same bore, stroke and force class.
The ASP25X15S is a single acting push cylinder with spring return: air extends the rod and the internal spring retracts it, so only one air line is needed. This 25 mm bore unit delivers 210.1 N of push at 0.5 MPa (net of the spring) and 308.3 N at 0.7 MPa, with a 15 mm stroke and a 10 mm rod ending in a female M6x1.0 thread. It runs on 0.2-1.0 MPa (28-145 psi) of filtered air at 50-500 mm/s. Note that the ASP family is discontinued; the current-production replacement is the ASE25X15.
Its short ISO 21287-class body saves roughly 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, which is why it slots into tight jigs and guarding where a full-length body will not fit. The hard-anodized aluminium body carries a fixed TPU bumper at both ends, and because this model carries the optional -S magnet, CMSE or DMSE reed and solid-state switches can be mounted directly on the tube. For sizing, treat about 126 N (roughly 60% of the 0.5 MPa rating) as the practical working force, which lifts about 10 kg vertically with a 2:1 margin.

Remember the spring drives the rod home on air loss, so the cylinder returns to retracted rather than holding a mid-stroke position. The 15 mm stroke sits well inside the standard range for this bore, and the female M6x1.0 rod thread accepts I/Y knuckles directly. If you need position sensing, this S-coded model already carries the magnet for CMSE / DMSE switches. For new builds, order the ASE25X15 instead - it is the current drop-in, but confirm the ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping.
