The AirTAC Airtac ASP Single Acting Guided Compact Cylinder ASP100X25SB is a single acting, push (spring return) DIN-standard tight/compact air cylinder with a Ø100mm bore and 25mm stroke, 1/4" air ports and a hard-anodized aluminium body. This model is discontinued — the current-production replacement is the ASE100X25SB (ISO 21287 ACE), in the same bore, stroke and force class.
Single acting push cylinder with spring return, the AirTAC ASP100X25SB uses one air line to extend its 25 mm rod and a built-in spring to retract it. At the 100 mm bore this is the strongest size in the family: 3640.7 N of push at 0.5 MPa, already net of the spring, rising to 5211.5 N at 0.7 MPa. It needs only 0.2 MPa (28-145 psi working band) to beat the spring, so a modest supply is enough. The short ISO 21287-class body saves roughly 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, which is why it slots into dense presses and clamping nests. Note this model is discontinued; the current-production successor is the ASE100X25.
Because the S and B codes are both present, this unit carries the optional -S magnet and a male rod thread, so CMSE or DMSE reed and solid-state switches can be fitted for end-of-stroke detection. The hard-anodized aluminium body pairs with an S45C hard-chrome rod, and fixed TPU bumpers at both ends absorb the return stroke. For sizing, treat about 0.6 of the rated push as usable work at 0.5 MPa, roughly 2184 N, which corresponds to lifting about 222 kg vertically - halve that for a 2:1 margin and you can safely raise a part of around 111 kg. Speed range is 50-500 mm/s.

The 3640.7 N push at 0.5 MPa crimps small terminals and rivets in electronics assembly, with the 25 mm stroke sized for quick in-out tooling.

At 0.5 MPa this bore delivers 3640.7 N net of the spring; if your clamp or press needs less, the 80 mm ASP80X25SB gives 2316.2 N, and there is no larger bore in the family, so step to a double-acting ACE or ASE if you need more than 5211.5 N at 0.7 MPa. Remember the spring drives the rod home on air loss, so it will not hold a mid-stroke position. Match FA/FB flange, LB foot or CA/CB clevis brackets to your fixture, and order the -S code if you need CMSE / DMSE switching. Before swapping to the ASE100X25 replacement, confirm the ISO 21287 mounting dimensions against your drawing.
