The AirTAC Airtac ASP Single Acting Guided Compact Cylinder ASP100X5SB is a single acting, push (spring return) DIN-standard tight/compact air cylinder with a Ø100mm bore and 5mm stroke, 1/4" air ports and a hard-anodized aluminium body. This model is discontinued — the current-production replacement is the ASE100X5SB (ISO 21287 ACE), in the same bore, stroke and force class.
A single acting push cylinder with spring return, the discontinued ASP100X5SB uses a 100 mm bore to deliver 3640.7 N of push at 0.5 MPa (5211.5 N at 0.7 MPa, both already net of the return spring). Air extends the rod and the internal spring retracts it, so only one air line is needed and the rod parks retracted whenever pressure drops. The 5 mm stroke suits tiny eject or clamp moves where a full-length body would never fit: the short ISO 21287-class body saves about 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder.
Built on a hard-anodized aluminium body with a 25 mm S45C hard-chrome rod and fixed TPU bumpers at both ends, it runs on 0.2-1.0 MPa (28-145 psi) at 50-500 mm/s. This -S code carries the optional magnet, so CMSE / DMSE reed or solid-state switches can be clipped on for end-of-stroke signals. Because the ASP family is discontinued, plan the swap to the current-production ASE100X5 and confirm the ISO 21287 mounting dimensions first. As a sizing rule of thumb, keep real work to roughly 2180 N at 0.5 MPa, which lifts about 185 kg vertically with a 2:1 margin.
