The AirTAC Airtac ASP Single Acting Guided Compact Cylinder ASP100X5B is a single acting, push (spring return) DIN-standard tight/compact air cylinder with a Ø100mm bore and 5mm stroke, 1/4" air ports and a hard-anodized aluminium body. This model is discontinued — the current-production replacement is the ASE100X5B (ISO 21287 ACE), in the same bore, stroke and force class.
This is a single acting push cylinder with spring return: air extends the 25 mm rod and the internal spring retracts it, so one air line is all the plumbing needs. The 100 mm bore delivers 3640.7 N of push at 0.5 MPa (5211.5 N at 0.7 MPa), already net of the spring, and it starts moving from just 0.2 MPa. It is discontinued - the current-production drop-in is the ASE100X5, so confirm ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before you swap.
The short ISO 21287 body saves about 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, which is why it slots into cramped press fixtures and clamping nests. For sizing, treat roughly 2184 N (about 223 kg) as the usable push at 0.5 MPa, and expect around 185 kg of vertical lift capability with a 2:1 margin. A fixed TPU bumper sits at both ends, the hard-anodized aluminium body carries a 1/4" PT port, and the B code gives a male rod thread.
